Fortis Homes was founded on guiding principles that were instilled in our Managing Partner at the United States Military Academy at West Point. There, Harry Adams learned the importance of duty, honor and country. Throughout his lengthy career with both public and private builders, he has lead by example and inspired others to excellence in all endeavors. With 100-plus years of homebuilding experience and over 2,500 homes built in San Antonio, Austin and the Texas Coast, the Fortis team offers expertise, accountability, building innovation and a superior product. In partnership with Red McCombs, renowned businessman, investor and developer, Harry Adams’ senior leadership team includes Tammi DuPuis – Vice President of Operations, Lee Battle – Vice President of Development, and Richard Park – Vice President of Homebuilding.

Mark Uhr has over 30 years of experience in the home building process and has been successfully involved in projects in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Rockport, Port Aransas, and other communities across the Coastal Bend. Mark and his family are actively involved in the community and continuously support the activities of the Rockport Center for the Arts, Texas Maritime Museum, the Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations in the Coastal Bend. Uhr has completed over 200 custom homes in our area, plus numerous commercial and multi-family projects. Backed with the years of experience, a reputation for building a superior home, and a drive to realize the homeowner’s vision, Mark is dedicated to making it a reality.

It’s not hard to find a builder that will promise to build you high-quality in South Texas – it is hard to find one that will deliver on that promise.
